Other Festivals

The people of our country are from many races. Each race has its own beliefs, religions, culture and festivals. We, together, celebrate many festivals.
Hair Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, and Christmas are the major festivals that just about everyone take part in. During these occasions, we visit one another regardless our ethnic origins, these are the times for merry – making and relaxation. The cities are deserted, people are dressed in their best and the sound of exploding fire crackers which fill in the air.
Food and drinks are offered and taken freely, for these are times for enjoying and not for worrying about dieting.
Besides these festivals, there are minor ones that are celebrated with less fervor. Hair Raya Aidladha Chap Go Mei, Thaipusam and Easter are some of these, they are on the whole, celebrated by those directly involved only. Thus they are not on a grand scale.
Whatever festivals are especially the major ones, I always enjoy, because they are also public holidays. What day is better than a holiday, festival or not?

A wonderful Party

Last Monday, I was invited to a party. It was my friend’s birthday party. He invited a lot of people to his party. It started at five o’clock in the evening in fact everyone was wearing beautiful clothes with lovely smiles. When I reached the party, I saw a lot of people who are gathering there and it was realty noisy. His house was decorated with flowers. And there were also various colors of balloons. There were a few around tables, with chairs laid for a meal. A birthday cake with candles no it, presents and spray were put on one of the tables. We were invited to have evening meal and drinks. The food was also delicious. And the music was fantastic. After meal, we were asked to stand around the table with a cake. A birthday song was sung. And a lot of photographs were being taken and my friend started to blow candles off and spray shot out. After that we danced and sang karaoke until o’clock.
